OK so here is my Chicago ghost tour adventure that Sheri got us as a wedding gift. We leave the house around 4 ish to catch the 7 oclock tour. The EL was empty and the bus we took after the EL was uneventful. Since we were an hour early we decided to stop in at Hard Rock cafe and have a cocktail with an appetizer. Got on the bus and started the tour. The tour guide was Eric and he was awesome at his craft. He had a SATAN goatee with a stove pipe hat and long black coat with a hairy black spider on the collar. He talked the whole way for 3 hours about this place and that and it was VERY informative and we learned things we didnt know about Chicago. At 1 stop Clyburn and Fullerton( by the Chicago river) he warned us that we might see some big river rats so if you dont want to get off the bus to see this sight, its ok. Some people stayed on the bus. Sheri decided to go with me and sure enough a big rat came pretty close to Sheri. Well she let out a scream that would wake the ghosts and Eric decided to move farther away from the place we were and finish his story about satonic rituals that had happened here. He took us by the St. Valentines Day massacre sight which is now an apartment building/parking lot. We found out that Lincoln Park zoo was built on the first Chicago cemetery which was swamp land at the time and bodies would keep seeping into Lake Michigan. We did about 6 stops to different locations around Chicago and had a great time. On our way home, the EL was packed. We couldnt get on the first 1 so when the second came 10 minutes later we jammed ourselves in there. Sheri is not very good at being a Chicagoan as she didnt stick with me and almost had to wait for a third by herself but she made it and we stood halfway to Rosemont arm pit to arm pit with 500 people until it cleared out a bit and we got seats away from each other where I decided to nap. We got home around 11:30. It was a great evening and time we had with each other. This lady I married is quite an adventure. I LOVE IT !!!
