OK so here is my story! Woke up about 4am Friday,with my tounge itching like crazy. Went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. My tounge was swollen pretty bad.Waited for about 30 minutes,then called Jeff at work to come home ,was alittle scared. He said go to work and have the docs look at it! He called my doctor and we waited for a call back. Of course they didnt call and I had no Benydril in the house,and he went back to work.Now I am really scared knowing this is getting worse!! He then called a short time later and said how is it, by that time my face and neck were swollen also.My tounge was as big as my mouth and my neck looked like a football players neck, (that NO NECK LOOK), he came home again and took 1 look at me and said we are going to the hospital!!! We started driving up the alley on our way and my oral airway became totally blocked. I could get a little air thru my nose,and that was closing also!! We ended up coming back home and calling 911! So ended up in an ambulence being rushed to the ER! My tounge was so swollen you could not even see in my mouth,I could barely open my mouth! Gave me IV Benydril and prednisone kept me for several hours then sent me home. No idea what caused it, might have been reaction from 1 of my meds that I have been taking for years or gotten bit by something or I used a new toothbrush that night before I went to bed.They said had I waited a few more minutes I would have stopped breathing. So anyway must now carry an Eppipen with me at all times!! It was the most scariest thing ever! Dont wish that on anyone! So like I said ...dont take anything for granted!!!!!
