OK, so here is what is on my mind. This morning I had a very dear friend ask me to have a person that posts politically charged material to my timeline and therefore, to all my friends to please stop. I sometimes post things of my own here, but only in hopes that it makes people think. I am guilty of posting a comment here on the morning of 9/11/2013 of having watched an American president on 9/10 tell us that he was going to send the American military to Syria to fight on behalf of our terrorist enemies, which was entirely true. This is very concerning that we would waste one single American life in such an effort. I recently posted video of a man that was forcibly removed from a town hall meeting for simply voicing an opinion. I post these things because I hope that all of my friends both left and right will take heed of the situation we face in our country today. I think that in the large view, that if we measured our opinions as Americans, we would find that the vast majority of us agree at least in principle on most of the issues, particularly the social ones. But in order to even consider those concerns, our greatest cause must be the preservation of our autonomy as a Nation. Beside our foundation of being one nation under God, our Country, should you so choose, was founded on the principle that "All men (and women) are created equal". I will defend the right of anyone to voice their opinion, whether I am in agreement with it, or not (1st Amendment). This is the foundation of healthy debate. Let us not hand over our country to politicians who have learned that they can vote themselves the treasury, commit the world to chaos, and then rule it by brut force. Believe me, we have them on both sides of the Isle. The oldest military strategy in the world is DIVIDE and CONQUER. We should revert instead to the words of one of our greatest murdered leaders..."our lives are inextricably linked...I have a dream". We will either learn to live together or die apart. Love ALL my friends.
