OK, they are just about to make the turn in front of us, now. There was silence for a moment as Nicoletti trained his sights on the back of the Presidents head. Then he squeezed the trigger, BANG! The first shot felt funny, it seemed weaker than he expected from experience. The shot had not stopped ringing out and Nicoletti was bringing the bolt action up and back to eject the spent casing and pushing it back and down to load the next cartridge in the firing chamber. Chuck could see the first shot had hit him in the upper back just above the right shoulder blade. Chuck reacquired the target and made his adjustment upward because the first shot seemed to be a little low. He again squeezed the trigger and BANG! At that exact moment, President Kennedy listed to the left and the second shot went over Kennedy and missed him completely. The slug hit Governor Connolly who was sitting in front of the President and just starting to turn around in the car to see what was happening. Nicoletti again was manipulating the bolt action on the cheap firearm as he reacquired the target again. He adjusted back down again after realizing the first shot was indeed a light load. Nicoletti felt confident that he now had President Kennedy zeroed in accurately. This time he squeezed the trigger and BANG! The shot hit him in the head just above the bottom of the skull, a little to the right. However, neither of these shots were immediately fatal. Since Jimmy’s position was behind the fence and just to the right of where Abraham Zapruder was standing on the concrete peer, he saw just about the same thing it showed in the Zapruder film. The President was still alive with his eyes wide open, holding his throat where Nicolettis third shot exited his neck. As the Presidential Limousine, came out from behind the highway sign Jimmy realized that this was it. His big chance to do well by his boss and new associates. If he was right, this was his chance to be a part of history. He had a clear view in his scope and the crosshairs lined up perfectly on the Presidents head as Jimmy squeezed the trigger on the Fireball, BANG! Jimmys shot with that mercury load took off the top of the Presidents head on the front right. As he was taking the gun apart, Jimmy realized that except for a couple of his cohorts, nobody else in the world would ever believe that he did it. So, he removed the empty copper shell, bit it and placed it on the fence rail. In a moment of egocentric pride, he figured that way he could to prove to anyone who knew, that he really did do it. Jimmy jumped back into the Chevy and slowly drove over to the back of the building and picked up Chuck and Johnny.
