OK, this is different: its a year-end TRAILER tribute rather than one for cinema in toto per annum, celebrating the distilled bits of entertainment instead of the movies that they represent. Im a bit conflicted here because, while the conventional ones Ive shown also utilize (almost entirely) trailers, they nevertheless insinuate a passion for the complete narrative-visual works rather than their marketing. Then again, this is what the editor, MOVIECLIPS Trailers, works with, prolifically and with great artistic merit: producing a vast amount of periodic, high-quality content showcasing an amalgam of what will soon arrive, rather than what has come, taking a bunch of trailers to basically make one big trailer--a source of enhanced anticipation, therefore with inherent appreciation, of the upcoming and not the present. This method does, quite nicely actually, free the producer from restrictions that could make the exact date of release contestable (e.g. If the film was first presented at a film festival, or for limited release, or in a foreign country, then was released to the masses in the next calender year, when do place it?) by just taking something as objective as a trailer release. It even makes unsuitable additions less overt (because, you cant recall exactly when a trailer was revealed, right?). Therefore, it has a kind of practicality while also inculcating a special, different kind of emotional response from the audience--and, well, celebrating differences is one of the things that projects like this define very well. It suits my other criteria: shown to us in and around the December period, as a culmination of over 30 (ideally over a 100) different representational works, compiled with music. Because its also very good, Im including it here: https://youtube/watch?v=USu_qywI8VI
