OMBRÉ V HIGHLIGHTS This time of year is a great time to lighten your hair colour for the dull autumn weather. There are a few ways to do this, but two of our favourites are with an ombré colour or with highlights. Lets take a closer look at these two techniques. Whats the difference ? Ombré The ombré trend involves colouring the bottom section of your hair lighter and leaving the the hair on top of your hair alone so that it stays your natural shade. The contrast between the darker roots and the lighter tips creates a gradual ombré effect. The best ombré colours are the ones that manage to achieve a natural, graduated effect. The golden ombré colour brings light to the face and creates a warm feel that is simply perfect for this time of year. What bring some glow to your look. Highlights If you want a change of the ombré trend then why not go for highlights? Highlighting your hair essentially equates to adding colour to certain sections of the hair. Only some strands are coloured while others are left, creating a look that is much more natural than an all over, uniform colour. Which should I choose? The ombré look is slightly more on-trend, whereas highlights create more of a classic, natural look. Ombré hairstyles work to bring light to the bottom of the hair, while highlights can be used to create a more uniform look, as if youve just spent the last couple of weeks on a Caribbean beach. both techniques are excellent ways to bring some lightness and warmth to your hair this autum. Which look will you try?
