That person is the reason you want to keep living, the reason you bother to get out of bed in the morning. But when youre faced with the idea of losing that person, it becomes something even deeper, something darker. Your love is the reason you want to keep living. So, when the idea comes into play that they might not be living much longer, a new instinct kicks in. Without them, you dont have a reason to keep living, and so youre willing to do anything to save them, even die. Because, without them, youre as good as dead anyway.
