OMG!!! I have a humming bird feeder and regular bird feeder on the porch. Muddy Boots and Taco are always out there. Today I had to refill the hummingbird food. Its on a pulley cause Im too short to reach it. Well the string fell out so I had to put it lower cause now I cant reach the pulley. Sitting here on fb and Muddy Boots Flies into the house and I know hes up to something..he always is. Well I look and hes running around all crazy, I get off the couch to see what the heck hes doing and he comes around the chair with a hummingbird in his mouth!!!!! Now, I know this is what cats do but I made it easier to catch the poor guy...not fair. I grab Boots and get the bird out of his mouth he seemed ok as boots is struggling against me. The hummingbird flies to the sliding glass window but is scared and cant get out, as I fight with boots I try to coax the bird out as Taco tries to get the bird. I yi yi!!!!!!!! I shoo Taco away and get the bird on my finger and out the door and slam the screen closed.....The bird flew out onto the porch sat there a sec then flew into the tree. I think he was ok. Some of you are gonna be upset that I didnt let Boots kill the bird but all GODs creatures deserve to live and Boots eats...trust me.
