ON BRAINWASHING STUDENTS: I have always been accused of BRAINWASHING (trans. INDOCTRINATION) my students. Lets clarify BRAINWASHING: first, the term brainwashing is often used by reactionaries to label the education of students in a way of life they dont like (e.g., Amish, cults, activism, Islamic fundamentalism, terrorism). Second, liberal and post-modern teachers, whether they admit or not, do brainwash their students in the way of life of liberalism and postmodernism. Third, from cradle to grave we are all subjected to brainwashing -McDo, Faults in Our Stars shit, J-pop shit, K-pop trash! And lastly, you underestimate the capacity of students to feign believing their teachers, and you overestimate my power to persuade. After all, there were no students of mine who joined the rally yesterday. And if there were, they were very few compared to millions who already sold their souls to capitalism! So, next time you accuse me of brainwashing, try washing your brain first!
