ONE DEAD IN PORT HUENEME SHOOTING KVTA NEWS Friday September 6th, 2013 Port Hueneme police are investigating an officer-involved shooting early this morning that left one person dead. Around 4:13am Friday, officers responded to a call of a traffic collision in the 500 block of E. Surfside Dr. They say that shortly after the officers arrived, shots were fired. The suspect suffered injuries as a result of the... shooting and was pronounced dead at the scene. The subject’s name is not being released pending notification. No officers were injured. The Port Hueneme Police Department is being assisted with their investigation by the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office, Ventura County Sheriff’s Department and the Oxnard Police Department.
