ONLY 20 MORE DAYS until the BM-VM SHORTY FILM CONTEST! Our October meeting at the Screening Room is Sunday, Oct. 19 at 7:00 pm. 1. Contest open to all members in good standing (which means you have to be paid up for this seasons membership dues. Only $20! You can pay at the beginning of the Oct. meeting if you havent already! Paid membership also allows you to vote on entries!); 2. Running time of 5 minutes maximum; 3. No entry made for profit or which has been previously entered in a club contest is eligible; 4. Title slates must appear at beginning and end; 5. Source material must be entirely the work of the contestant except for the use of music or narrator on soundtrack (in the past, there was a question about whether you can use public domain footage: NO, you cannot!); 6. A contestant may submit more than one entry but is eligible for only one award based on number of votes; 7. Contestants must provide playback method unless submitted on VHS, S-VHS or DVD. Submissions must be viewable to be judged. [ED. NOTE: DISC or FLASH DRIVE PREFERRED]; 8. Three entries is the minimum number for judging, which the Contest Chair will administer. Members present in the audience will vote for first place. Second place will be the entry with the second greatest number of votes; 9. Awards will be given to first and second place winners.
