OPENER - Brian Humphrey is on duty at the Los Angeles Fire Department - Emergency Public Information (EPI) Center until 7:00 AM PST Monday November 24. - The good news? Winds known to increase fire wildfire danger have been moderate to mild in our area since early this morning, and were expecting a respite this afternoon :) - The bad news? Our friends at the National Weather Service have forecast a resumption of strong winds late tonight through Tuesday afternoon for much of Los Angeles :( : Downtown LA & SFV: 1.usa.gov/1zfig8d Mountains in & near LA: 1.usa.gov/1uXQ9Kn ...a decision to convert the current Fire Weather Watch into Red Flag Fire Weather could be made this afternoon. We remind you that *regional* Red Flag Fire Weather declarations (often seen on the news) DO NOT automatically enact *local* Red Flag Parking Restrictions within the City of Los Angeles. That decision is made by local officials, and is best tracked via: lafd.org/redflag If you live, work in or visit City of Los Angeles areas historically prone to wildfire, we encourage you to bookmark that site as a formal point of reference for Red Flag Parking Restrictions. Free notifications via phone or email can be obtained by following the directions on that site. Were planning on a busy but safe Sunday, and encourage you to do the same. Please take a moment to talk with your family to make sure youre: readyforwildfire.org/ ...then take advantage of this beautiful day to to enjoy all that life has to offer! Good Morning Los Angeles!! -Brian Humphrey bit.ly/BrianLAFD
