ORIENTATION # 1118 : WE HAVE NEVER SEEN THE SUN ___________________________________ A curious consideration : One year-light is calculated in the distance that a stream of light covers in one Gregorian year (365 solar days).. Light (photons) travels at the speed of 300.000 km per second... 1.080.000.000.000 km x 24 hours (one day) = 25.920.000.000 km 25.920.000.000 x 365 days (one year) = 9.460.800.000.000 km or 9.460.730.472.580.800 metres, 9.461 petametres, 5.878.625 trillions miles, 63241.077 astronomical units, 0.306601 parsecs.. According with the distance between this planet and the sun: the sunlight of the sun takes almost 8 minutes to arrive here.. This actually means that if the sun disappears right now, to us it will exist in the sky for at least 8 minutes.. This consideration leads to the fact, which is a fact, that the light of the sun we perceive is constantly the light that has been produced in the past of the sun.. This past light is what has been the reality of the sun 8 minutes ago.. This is mechanical time.. Now : our mind produces thought.. one asks : think about the sun and thought is already there .. Whats the speed of the visualization and formation of thought ? Not a concept, which requires a particular psychological and intellectual or emotional architecture and construct.. but simply thought : the sun, the me, the Im depressed, the Im in love and so on ? Being the mind a non physical phenomenon and not related with photons.. then its obvious that the psyche travels with her own defined speed.. So: there is the very genuine act of thinking.. and then there is the consequential formation of thought.. and in the middle there is a speed, a hyper-fast velocity sometimes.. a psychological time.. Can the mind intercept such speed right before the formation of thought ? Because if the mind cannot do so.. then, its obvious, thought intercepts the psyche.. and just like it happens with the sun.. the mind never sees itself.. but rather it just sees its past.. We never saw the sun .. and this is inevitable .. because the sun is there.. very very far far away .. But the mind is here .. very very close .. so, can we can see the work of the mind in the same true very moment when it comes into being and arises in the brain ? ________________________ endoffear.weebly/ eofproject.org jessicamystic
