OSF --Condemns Leaking of classified Documents. OPEN SOCIETY FOUNDATION PRESS STATEMENT RE: LEAKED DOCUMENTS As Open Society Foundation, We wish to express our worry at the continued leakage of classified documents in government. We are alive to the fact that various documents have continued to find their way to the public before proper authorization. We have observed that The Draft Constitution, The National Budget and the Constitutional Road Map have been leaked to the public pending government approval. We wish to call on government to strengthen the controls over protection of confidential documents. As Open Society Foundation we strongly believe that the security of the nation hags in balance of immoral and confused elements in the civil service .It is therefore our profound call that these perpetrators should be followed, found and defeated. Leaking of classified documents is a treasonable offence and due law process should take its course. It is our held view that, Civil Servants should consider themselves privileged to serve the people of Zambia in a professional manner. Their call is to serve the government of the day and demonstrate service with determination, dignity and distinction.Civil servants are the engine that runs the affairs of the state and this act of Bad faith is a betrayal to the people of Zambia at large. As open Society Foundation, we condemn this act and commend UPND for coming clean that the document in circulation is not their Road Map but it is a leaked Document.
