OSF Saint Francis is proud of our work encouraging organ donation through our collaboration with the Gift of Hope, the IL Secretary of States office and our wonderful transplant team. On April 22, Secretary of State Jesse White paid us a visit to recognize OSF Saint Francis as the #1 Donor Hospital in our region. How many people were helped? 65 tissue donors helped 1,500 recipients. 24 organ donors helped 77 people receive the gift of life. The OSF Saint Francis organ transplant team has done more than 1,000 transplants since its inception. Thank you to everyone (and their families) who has provided the gift of life.
