OUR COMMON TROUBLES 1. MANY OTHERS ARE GOING THROUGH THE SAME TRIALS 1 Peter 5:9. AMP Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world. 2. THERE WILL BE A WAY OUT / WE WILL MAKE IT THROUGH 1 Corinthians 10:13. AMP For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape toa landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently. 3. THEY ARE TEMPORARY AND PROMOTIONAL 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 4. THE LORD HIMSELF IS ABOUT TO ACT 1 Peter 5:10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will HIMSELF restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 5. THIS WILL NOT ESCAPE THE HEALING GRACE OF GOD Genesis 41:51 Joseph named his firstborn Manasseh and said, “It is because God has made me forget all my trouble and all my father’s household.” 6. BEYOND THIS FRUITFUL DAYS AWAIT! Genesis 41:52 The second son he named Ephraim and said, “It is because God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering.” 7. THIS FLOOD SHALL NOT OVERWHELM US Psalms 32:6-7 Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them. You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Pastor S. Khoza (HGT RSA)
