OUTRAGEOUS DISHEARTENMENT When Jesus the Christ at some occasions lamented that is was abysmally woeful and disheartening to know that a prophet was not really welcomed in his/her hometown, some fellow Jews thought He was being arrogant and over-emphatic about His gifts. The truth however remains, He as a person received the very treatment He was talking about hence He was not only rejected by kit and kin but was gruesomely ridiculed, mocked and murdered. Ever since His coming and even before Him, it has been the lot of illustrious sons and daughters of a place to receive the worst forms of unimaginable calumny, libel, jealousy, hatred, rejection, humiliation, disrespect and sometimes even outright maiming and decimation. Yes!!! Nwanna na-ara. Umunna bu-oria-ukwu. This syndrome has been with humanity though perpetrated by the morally depraved with inferiority complex. However, it is the shadow of the demon within the human mind especially evident in those who have lost connection with the Light; the source of all goodness and right. One can still remember the brutality of Cain, the conspiracy and death of Socrates, the betrayal of Judas Iscariot, the denial of Peter and the persecution of Paul. So that it happens is not the issue but why does it continue to happen? Who are the most predisposed to this useless vice? Who attracts this reaction easily and frequently? What do they radiate in their aura that predisposes them to such? It is simple as it is difficult, the Good and the Light are natural contraries to the darkness and evil. There is no meeting point. Hence the Light must dispel the darkness which in turn runs to one corner struggling vehemently to obscure the Light, though to no avail, it struggles on. This is the simple conflict that immediately dawns on any person who chooses either of the parts. Now it is important to note that it is the mental constitution of a person irrespective of education and exposure that induces one to be in the Good or in the Bad. Also, one should know that the constitution of the mind is an individual making and responsibility. For all have the powers to do so. The ultimate confusion and disheartenment sets in when those who are expected to know do not know and decide not to know that they know not. It becomes frustratingly worrisome when the old and supposedly learned and exposed exhibit the worst forms of immaturity by allowing envy and jealousy to escape through their thoughts, action and words. It becomes therefore, an outrageous disheartenment when people like Senator Chris ND Anyanwu, Barr Mike Ahamba and their cohorts descend on their younger illustrious and morally impeccable brother; Hon Emeka Ihedioha, for no just cause with all manners of malicious attacks. It becomes a very despicable disgrace that these duo have thrown qualms above the fence as they enlist as envious and malignant Umunna. What a shame!!! It becomes hopelessly shameful that these two have degenerated to mere witch-hunting and pull-him-down tools in the hands of never do wells. Imagine!!! Just because the Honey-like and spotless Hon Emeka Ihedioha won the PDP congress the duo forged signatures, impersonated, protested, marched to Abuja, granted press conference, press released, peddled rumours, incited the polity, published libels and falsehood against their own son, brother, friend and shinning Pride, in order to tarnish Dee Emeka’s hard-earned reputation. Why? The trauma is that this pettish and kindergarten politics is coming from older people again, why? Anyway thanks Goodness!!! The indefatigable Deputy Speaker of the Federal House Of Representative of Nigeria Hon Sir Emeka Ihedioha CAN NEVER EVER be intimidated let alone being moved, deterred or cowed down by a wanton woman and a spent- bullet.
