** OVERLOOKED ** RUDOLF - A1023344 @ the Manhattan NY Shelter ** Sweet, neglected German Shepherd boy ** Only 6 Years old ** A volunteer writes: Rudolf is the picture perfect neglected dog. He might not be skinny or under-socialized but his care as been to say the least, dismal. Rudolf lays peacefully on his blanket, his coat is matted by places. His paws are swollen and his eyes are discharging pus. Still, Rudolf is a welcoming chap, looking right at me, wagging his tail and coming in a very relaxed way to his door. He is a dream to walk, climbs well stairs, marks quite a bit his territory and meets other dogs like a cool cat. He sometimes tries to water them. Rudolf loves treats and will sit for them. He is pretty polite asking for more and taking them from my hand. He is not camera shy. Free in a pen, Rudolf comes when I call him and sits by my side. He seems to like very much to be petted. Rudolf is very comfortable with people and clearly likes our company. He might have been a yard dog who is now with us having lost his job. Rudolf is an older chap with a heart and a brain. I imagine him well cared for and loved. What a beauty, what a loyal friend he would be to the one willing to give him a chance at living the life of a beloved pet. Rudolf is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center.
