OXNARD WOMAN WHO ABDUCTED DAUGHTER MIGHT HAVE LEFT VENTURA COUNTY (Tuesday 06-03-14 at 6 PM) Oxnard police say the woman who abducted her daughter from her elementary school Monday might have taken her out of Ventura County. Police say 32-year-old Brenda Quiroz is a transient who went to Marina West School Monday around 1:30 PM and in violation of a court order took her seven-year-old daughter Nadine. Oxnard police say theyve been looking for them even since and learned that Quiroz might have left Ventura County with Nadine. Police are now working with the DAs Child Abduction Unit in an effort to locate them. They say Quiroz does not have custody rights to her daughter and was prohibited by court order from having any contact with her without permission from Nadines father who reported the abduction Monday. Police say Brenda Quiroz is 54, 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes (see photo on left). Police say she has the tattoo Richard on her chest, Deliliah on her back, Erick on her left shoulder, Stephanie on her right shoulder, Jossie on her left ankle, and Nadine on her right ankle. Nadine Basquez is 47, 80 pounds with black hair and brown eyes (see photo on right). Anyone who has information about where they might be should call Oxnard PD at (805) 385-7600 or 9-1-1.
