Obese peoples have less dopamine receptors then normal weight peoples either from birth or decrease in receptors happened later in life. The neurotransmitter dopamine is the what signal happiness in our mind. Selected foods will inflamed the dopamine pathway into the brain: sugar & white processed flour (bread and such) or any food that will increase the blood sugar level over the normal range and dairy particularly cheese. The root cause: emotions have huge part to play in food addiction for the average person. Not enough happiness triggers present in one life the body will find a way to get that dopamine. Solution: First: find your trigger food(s) using a elimination diet and stay away from the food for a while or maybe forever. Second: find the cause of your emotional issues and heal it. Believe in a higher power is key this.
