Obituary for Mr. Mark Ernest Sherrill Mark Sherrill, 56, passed away unexpectedly at Percy Priest Lake where he loved to be. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest & his brother David & his daughter Katherine. He is survived by his wife, Joi, his children Jennifer (Raulton), Phillip (Brittany), & Matthew (Addy). His mother Peggy Sherrill & his sister Susan (Ted) Saunders. His grandchildren Cadence, Annabelle, Canon, Trent, Reese, Knox, & Taylor. He had recently retired from Nissan after almost 30 years of dedicated service in Production Control. He had just begun a career in real estate & was already successful & appreciated by many customers he helped find homes. Mark & Joi had recently celebrated 30 years of an amazing marriage. He was the rock of his family. He fervently loved his wife, his children, their spouses & his grandchildren. He loved his boat & was the Captain of the ship as many wonderful memories were made on the lake. He captained his boat as he did his family - smoothly through many storms. He was a faithful fan of the Titans & had only missed a few games in the last 13 seasons. His children so enjoyed the games with their Dad - especially the Music City Miracle play where he taught them to never give up & never leave a game early. His mother, Peggy, bought six original PSLs for the family & they have been enjoyed by four generations so far. His legacy will be carried on forever through his children & grandchildren. His Pastor, Amos Howard, of Living Truth Church, will be officiating the service at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Madison TN. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 4:00 PM with visitation from 12:00 Noon until service time. Burial will be private in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Sherrill, Phillip Reinitz, Raulton Reichel, John Dauscha, Ted Saunders, and John Sim. Honorary pallbearers will be Marc Adkins, Harry Gill, Jr., Douglas Hardy, and Randy Moss. In lieu of flowers a fund for a college athletic scholarship for golf for a graduating Rutherford County High School senior will be named in honor of Mark Sherrill. Friends of Mark have established the scholarship fund & donations can be made through Suntrust Bank & a collection basket will at the service site. Arrangements have been entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery
