Object of the Week THIS gramophone record entitled “Christmas in Camp with Kitchener’s Boys” was released in 1914. It pushed the message that all fit men should be heading off to war. Records like this tried to reassure families back home, as well as those thinking of signing up, that the trenches were a place of fun and comradeship at Christmastime.
