Obuah condemns House resolution to take over Rivers Assembly. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chairman in Rivers state, Felix Obuah has condemned the resolution of the Federal House of Representatives to take control of the Rivers State House of Assembly following the fracas that happened on Tuesday. At a news conference in Port Harcourt, Obuah said the lawmakers showed they were biased. ... He accused the federal lawmakers of making a hasty decision in their resolution by not waiting for the report of the committee set up to look into the political crisis in Rivers State. The PDP chairman vowed that the party would not support any resolution that did not represent the true wishes of the people of the state. Obuah alleged that the Police commissioner, Joseph Mbu was despised by Governor Amaechi because he (Mbu) had refused to be bought over by the governor. He accused Amaechi of fueling the fight which took place at the chambers of the House of Assembly during the purported impeachment of the speaker, Otelemaba Dan Amachree.
