Obviously Williamson is not in the club like John Gay of Gunns Timber in Tasmania, or the paedophile magistrate not jailed because of his high standing in the community etc. The double standards test is the simplest of all that would fix most of the worlds problems & possibly all the serious ones. The wilful blind eye to these double standards & radical hypocrisy must be close to the greatest failure of mankind & the failure of the current crop of academics & learned people to cut to the chase on this is astounding. This problem has been pondered since we first started to communicate with words & the failure to refine this collective knowledge is a blight on all with the skill & voice to do so. This issue actually relates to the current debate about the A.B.C. in this country. It is only the A.B.C. where people with independent opinions that address these issues of monumental public interest can be heard in a reasonably accessible public forum. These problems are understood & discussed but that voice is stifled & kept from the general public. That is why the A.B.C. should not only not have funding taken away but should have it increased & the lies & propaganda regarding its bias be refuted & put squarely in context relative to the points & relevance of whatever bias there is. Well run countries have public interest tests on issues of significant public best interests. An informed public should be the cornerstone of democracy & the sections of the media that best facilitate this should be treated in accordance with this core principal. The Right Wing of politics defends the rights of private media owners to serve their own best interests with no genuine regard for the reasonable best interests of the majority & this, in the context of obvious corruption all the way down to media owners paying little or no tax, magnifies the need for a media outlet that has some degree of independence. Contrived arguments on degrees of the A.B.C.s independence are absurd & transparent in their intent as the A.B.C.s independence is vastly superior to the privately owned media. This is the point as even if there was a bias towards the majority of ordinary people, there would be a credible aspect of balance when viewed in line with the privately owned media outlets. This is not the case but it highlights the ridiculously vacuous argument by the greedy Right Wing of politics & the people who control them. It highlights the level of corruption in the ranks of these greedy people that they need blanket media control to maintain their cover up. A fully informed public by the most independent facility available should be the cornerstone of democracy & only corrupt people fear this. If people dont understand this simple core principal there is little hope as the people to people abuse that these corrupt bullies inflict on the vulnerable & defenceless has crossed over to a point where this greed is destroying the planet. This should be the tipping point for the needed change & in this country this change relates directly to our most independent media voice, the A.B.C.
