Octoberfest Triathalon at Cross Creek Ranch in Fulshear, TX this morning. I believe I had the best bike leg of any triathlon but the run was ugly. It became hot and the 8:30 start for the Geezers didnt help anything at all. Third place in my age group. Probably one of my last i Tri Events. While I applaud them for donating proceeds to a worthy cause (benefitting a firefighter who was hit and killed in a bicycle accident), it is becoming increasingly obvious that these races are downright dangerous on the bike. In addition, they are poorly organized. It amazes me that these guys can keep their USAT certification.
