Of all the things that exist around us which we observe constantly in our lives but take for granted is the moon. In the many renditions throughout the centuries the imagery of the moon has been used to convey some of the most romantic sentiments of human beings. But little is known about the violent event millions of years ago which brought about the beginning of the luminating object which we call the moon.
