Off the bandwagon! Two weeks on after having a turnout of 16, DLS faced league leaders Kooyong with 10 players and fought valiantly, eventually succumbing to the constant pressure to lose 5-2. Set with a huge task from the get go, DLS went into the game with a nothing to lose attitude but were quickly behind 2-0 within 10 minutes. With things potentially looking ugly, the DLS boys stayed composed and hit Kooyong on the several counter attacks with goals coming from Alex Lee and a converted penalty from Tim Ngor to go into the half time break at 2-2. DLS continued to fight hard in the second half and played for one another as they did everything they could to hold on, but signs of fatigue and lapses in concentration kicked in as two of the next three goals that were conceded were from crosses that dropped in over the keeper. With two rounds remaining in the Premier Division and one game left for DLS as they have a bye in the final round, the boys will look to finish the season on a winning note facing second place Seeker next week.
