Off to my last WAHA Board Meeting--what a weird feeling after a probably 15 to 20 year run on the Board, including terms as Vice President and President. Its been a good run in a lot of ways and Ive seen some real quality people do some amazing work there over the years--also seen my share of disappointments in both departments. Doing a quality job of volunteering is a big time commitment, and requires periodic freshening up. I am looking forward to spending more time on my growing business and on helping my husband Tony with his extensive work as State Legislative Board Chairman for the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, a position he holds in addition to his regular full time job as an engineer for Union Pacific. As you can see, life is plenty full for us, so I look forward to having a little more focus on other areas for awhile and am grateful for all I have learned and all the good examples Ive seen set in my time on the WAHA Board. Come to think of it, I am also grateful for the times Ive seen things or done things that could have been done better--one learns from everything, especially mistakes!
