Off to say farewell and pay my respects to an old friend Rob Bedford today. Respect probably is the right word too, Rob came from a generation just older than us, well, just old enough to be father figures but young enough to be our mates, certainly far too young to be mourning his passing. After losing my own Dad way too young, Robs generation did more for us as young lads than they will ever know, I for one looked up to them, still do, Rob always had time for you, always had something to say, without fail he would make me laugh, theyd always be a story or some words to be shared (or even a tip on a shit horse) Id look forward to seeing them around Town. Its hard for me to see this generation slowly slip away. They taught us a lot, simple things, but things you remember & cherish for ever, Lessons for Life, lessons for living, getting by........simple pleasures. Rob was one of many from that group of geezers that taught me how to be a Man. Irreplaceable characters really............ RIP Rob, God bless ya xxx
