Officer Vambaketes has asked the court to dismiss the case involving him and Stephanie Hicks, deceased. This is the case where we believe Stephanie Hicks was killed by this officer. The officer believes he was providing police service for a potential medical condition to Stephanie Hicks by driving her to the hospital and she took her own life during that time. He Motion states, Illinois law provides immunity to prevent police officers from being held liable under these circumstances. He also claims that the case should be adjudicated under Illinois law and not Missouri because of where the most significant contact occurred. However, family and friends of Stephanie do not want this case in Madison County, Illinois. Let’s meet at St. Louis County Court on 10/9/14 at 8:30a.
