Officers in south Birmingham have helped a group of young people find out more about policing as part of a government scheme to prepare them for work. The team of 13 teens - aged 16 to 17 - visited officers at Bournville police station to understand more about the working world, see the inner workings of a large organisation and understand life behind the badge. The week included a trip to the force’s 999 control centre to understand how staff keep their cool when dealing with real life emergencies. More information can be found on the link below...
