Officers save three more lives using Narcan (Camden, NJ) – Over the weekend, Camden County Police Department officers saved three more lives using the anti-opiod Narcan, including two on Sunday. On Friday, Aug. 8, at 3:30 p.m., Officer Brendan Dylla responded to the 700 block of Pine Street where a man was found unconscious with shallow breathing. The officer administered one dose of Narcan to revive the man before he was treated by EMS personnel and taken to Cooper University Hospital. On Sunday, Aug. 10, at 2:30 a.m., Officer Daniel Kramer was dispatched to 1034 Langham Avenue were a man was unresponsive. Officer Kramer administered a dose of Narcan and the victim regained consciousness. EMS arrived on scene and rendered aid to the victim and transported him to Cooper University Hospital for further treatment. Also on Sunday, Officer Scott Mulford was summoned to 7th and Kaighns Avenue after the report of an unresponsive male. Upon the officer’s arrival at a vacant lot shortly after 7:00 p.m., the officer administered two doses of Narcan. The man became responsive and was sent to Cooper University Hospital. With these three incidents, Camden County Police Department officers have now used Narcan to save 29 lives since May.
