Ogun To Recruit 1000 Teachers In 2015 As part of measures to ensure an improved qualitative teaching and learning in Public Secondary Schools across the State, the State Teaching Service Commission is to recruit additional 1000 teachers and 200 non-teaching staff in 2015 fiscal year. The Commission’s Full-Time Commissioner 1, Otunba Timothy Adebowale made this known while defending the year 2015 budget estimate before the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation at the State House of Assembly. Presenting a budget estimate of N 19.184bn, Otunba Adebowale said that the Commission would also ensure even distribution of teachers across the four divisions of the State and prompt payment of salaries and allowances which represent about 90% of the Commission’s budget. He assured that the Commission was poised to maintain discipline among teachers through a periodic monitoring of teachers in their various schools, adding that the agency would also ensure a cordial working relationship with teachers. He added that the Commission would sustain and improve on achievements recorded in the outgoing year so as to retain the State’s top position in the education sector.
