Oh Boy.......do we need a revolution or what?....from Ferguson to Art Basil Miami -the murder of Eric Garner....its all so friggin bad! Is it all about brutality, random thuggishness and going to a party? Is there no room for anything serious or profound -anything real? With everything going down in the world right now -womens rights -in Afghanistan -in America!..everywhere -racial/class inequality, war, GAZA, poverty....an actual dystopia -and the best the art world can do is throw a stupid party featuring mostly insipid baubles (at best -among all the incompetent art school detritus) for the uber wealthy? Im sorry, we need a new art world -forget that, how about just a new world -on another planet! -or at least is it asking too much to hope for a better culture, less wanting on all fronts?
