Oh Haiii! So, one of my new years resolutions was to play a gig at least once a month and start to record some of the 20 songs I have written since being over here... AND... keep everyone in the loop while doing so. When I first started this page I had planned on being so particular with what I shared. I wanted to share only high points, I wanted to share only the best quality videos and best quality images and best quality everything... Today I realised how boring that was. Today I was sitting at my desk at work and was singing a George Ezra song on a guitar that sits in the office. My friend Annie decided to film it to post on PopJam (an app made by my company) to share with Children/teens the happenings at our Head Quarters. I thought ohh if it wasnt filmed on an iPhone, and I had a proper capo on the guitar so it didnt keep going out of tune, then I could share it on my Facebook page. Walking home (in the freezing cold) I realised how lame my thought process had been behind my approach to this page.. the people on my page are my friends, not some big industry folk trying to dissect my iPhone video to make sure I look/sound the part, and if I shared only professional/perfect material.. Id have nothing to show! My voice is shit some days, the guitar I play with sometimes goes out of tune, sometimes I get distracted when I sing and laugh at someone walking past.. but always, I am having fun.
