Oh I like research... Thanks Katherine Kramer. John Hopkins research shows that a low level of Chromium, in men especially, is an indicator in an increased risk of heart attacks. Chromium increases insulin sensitivity, glucose tolerance, and the balances high and low density lipoprotein cholesterol. Men with higher levels of chromium were 35% less likely to have a heart attack than those with low levels. It facilitates normal protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism while lowering the risk of vascular inflammation. In summary... Chromium acts as a heart mechanic changing the oil and cleaning the filters. xtend-life/.../ingredi.../chromium_nicotinate
