Oh, I wake this morning and hesitate to turn on the television...I think about St Louis friends and those who have already shared about their property damage. Its easy to feel helpless, sad and overwhelmed for friends in Ferguson and surrounding communities, but there is something we can do! We can take time to pray! Pray that God will bandage the wounds of many and strengthen the hearts of those who will be dealing with this for a very long time. Will you join me? Dear God, Hear the cries of our heavy hearts and strengthen those who have been affected by senseless violence and destruction. Hold us by the power of Your love and guide us where we find courage to put our hope in You. Help us remember to trust in Your ability to bring peace, even when we cant understand how it will come. Restore the lives of those who will see YOU in these difficult circumstances and discover how to cope by the healing power of Your strength. Amen
