Oh dear... Time for a rant. So, theres a seminar from the local Loliquin/Paleo/Holistic Medicine/Psuedoscientist that just showed up in my events on tonight. Its an hour long talk on Understanding Cancer. From the description: The talk will cover cancer on a physical, mental and spiritual level. This will be very informative and will go into a deeper understanding as to what causes this dis-ease in the body, a level which the medical industry does not explain. So, in an hour, hes going to explain cancer on a level which an oncologist doesnt learn while doing his 10 year degree. Seems legit. I sincerely hope none of you in my news feed are attending this event. I know cancer is a terrible illness and its only in our nature if we or someone we love are stricken with it to try take every possible avenue that could possibly help. However, a personal trainer doesnt know jack about cancer, even if its his favourite topic to read on, he is not qualified to tell you how to treat it. Thats what the medical industry is there for. Oh, and just to put it out there, this guy also claims he can speak to the dead, so theres that too. On another note, people who are susceptible to this type of bullshit could do with watching this seminar by Nick Tumminello with Elite Fitness Mentoring on Bullshit Detection.
