Oh, my God, You overwhelm me. In Your compassion, I have overestimated myself in my walk with You, and in Your compassion, I have found humility through Joy. My heart breaks over past sin that I then treated lightly, but now I see as having kept me from a full fellowship and experience of You. I have mistaken these waves of joy as an ultimate experience of You, but I see now that I am low and this is just a beginning. How can I ask for You to forgive what You have already forgiven, but Your joy has brought me to new waves of grief for my sin. Oh, God, set my mind aright. Help me to see You, myself, Your people, and this world properly, in Your light, and free of the distortion of ego and pride. I want more of You, Lord. Keep me in Your way. Convict me and forgive me of any unconfessed, unrepented sin. Let there be nothing that comes between us. Teach me, oh, Lord, and I will learn. Show me, and I will see. Speak to me, and I will hear. Send me, and I will go. Be with me, and I will have all I need. Praise be to the Holy Lamb of Israel, my Savior and Redeemer. The sweet smell of life, hope, and joy is the fragrance of Your nearness. Draw near to me, Lord and draw closer, still.
