Oh, my goodness! Can I bear the chagrin? Ive been UNFRIENDED! Im shocked, alarmed, astonished, flabbergasted..... Well. No, Im not, actually. And the person unfriended me not because I could run logic circles around him in a discussion, but because I had the presumption to delete foul language in his comments to my own posted Note. That and blatant insults directed at another poster with whom he disagreed. Look, I dont care what kind of language you might use elsewhere, but Id just as soon you didnt use it in my own threads. Surely no ones vocabulary is so limited that they cannot find another way to express their option than F---- you. Really? Can we not try for a little more elevation of expression than that? Anyway, since this startling event (ie, the being Unfriended) has occurred, I thought I would use the occasion to make more formally public my request that people temper their language when posting to threads I start on my own wall. Its a simple request, and I make it so that visitors to my threads not make themselves look bad in the eyes of my other friends and readers. Id really appreciate it. I have such a wide range of friends, I think courtesy is not really such a harsh demand to make of those who comment. Thanks all. Stick around, please. I like hearing from you!
