Oh what lustful pleasures does the world have to offer one! The world says one can achieve all they can be and live a desired lifestyle filled with riches of abundance of choice providing that you work hard for it in some type of measure in most cases. By these lustful incentives of the world incorporated by the spirit of Satan one can by easily distracted or led astray if they are not fully vested in the Lord. A person conveyed to me a few weeks back these very words “everybody is different and it is simply hard to be completely saved.” My response to this person was similar to this: everybody is not different because God created each of equally and non-discriminatingly. Therefore everybody is not different, everybody simply is not willing to live right according to God. Furthermore there are challenges and some obstacles which may appear within the Christian walk, but it is not overly challenging nor too hard for the hard work has already been done and completed at the Cross of Christ. It is not that many individuals do not love God nor desire to be saved, they simply do not want to put in the work {e.g. practicing Spiritual disciplines} encompassing living a righteous lifestyle before God. As result they opt for the easy way out which encompasses living however and doing whatever they choose to do, but end result is death {e.g. spiritual death, physical death, and eternal death} (Romans 6:23). This is why Jesus Himself instructs each person to walk the path of straight and narrow. “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” (Matthew7:13-14). I cannot speak for anyone else but I want to be part of the few who find it!
