Ohhh today, what can I say about today?! The phone call that woke Mommy from her few hours of sleep after night shift...we werent expecting it so soon. When the lady on the other end of the phone said Monday, Mommy yelled Monday!?!?! She said we could change the date if we wanted to. Mommy thought about it, but then again are you ever really ready for a surgery like this? God has a plan and obviously Monday is the day. So we are now T minus 5 days until my heart is made anew! It really hasnt sunk in yet, but Im sure with each passing day it will grow increasingly harder. I can tell you that I had another good day. I carried on with my dont sleep, party attitude and it caught up with me this evening:) Another good part of today was an after the rain walk through the neighborhood in my new stroller. Mommy wants to get me out and about in the fresh air as much as possible before my surgery, it might be a little while before we can get out for a walk after Monday. I enjoyed todays walk so much that I fell asleep for 3/4 of the walk, that has NEVER happened! Mommy wished that someone would push her in the stroller while she took a nap;) We are all heading to bed, I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow. I have to be at Geisinger at 8:30 for a bunch of pre-op tests. Whats on the menu? Oh, just an EKG, an ECHO, a chest X-ray, blood work, a nasal swab, a physical, and who knows what else! They offered us the pre-op appointment on Friday, but we decided to go tomorrow and get it out of the way so we can enjoy a few days of peace at home before life gets crazy again. Mommy told me all about my surgery today. She explained to me what is going to happen and how Mommy and Daddy and Jaxon will be there with me every step of the way. She also told me how many people are praying for me and cheering me on. I will rest tonight knowing that you are lifting me up and knowing that God hears my warriors:) Until next time...
