Ok, For the challenge, Chicken and leek pie, Puff pastry 50p reduced, chicken is our own, leek 15p reduced, tub of philly (garlic and herb)reduced,33p for the sauce, 5p for seasoning. Mash taters 30p including butter. I buy by the sack so I pay £4.50 for 25kg,7/8p per lb for those trying to work it out, runners our own. I made a chocolate orange cheesecake the other day which we still have the last portions of which would have fed 6 not 4 and that cost £2.45 choc was 39p ricotta reduced at 30p cream red at 60p sugar 15p biscuits 40p butter 22p Starter was mackerel pate, Fish £1.00 reduced philly 33p butter 22p, seasoning including dill, 10p and £1.00 for a cottage loaf. .. As you will see I manage to get some very good deals and bargains and things work out a lot cheaper when bought in bulk. My total for this meal if Im right is...£6.94 ;-)
