Ok Fox released its casting for the reboot Fantastic Four movie. I have to say I WAS excited for this movie, however they havent a clue as to what in the hell they are doing. I am not a fan of films establishing new variants of known super heroes or villains, unless theyre minor changes. I was open to Halle Barry playing Catwoman due to Ertha Kitt playing Catwoman in the 60s Batman TV show, however it wasnt Selina Kyle, it was Patience Phillips, not even the same Catwoman. I love Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, he looks identical to the Nick Fury in Ultimate comics. So, why am I not excited for the Fantastic Four reboot you ask? They cast the role of Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch to be played by African American actor Micheal B. Jordan, while I havent seen a single movie he is in, it changes the origin of the Human Torch which makes me leery about the concepts surrounding the new Fantastic Four film, because Catwoman was terrible. If there were an established story or an Ultimate version of Fantastic Four that differed from the original origin of the team, then I would be able to feel differently, but this cast triggers my gut feeling to recall recent memories, that movie studios are casting people to appeal to a wider audience, it feels generic to me. Its like going to see Days of Future past and seeing Bishop or Storm cast by Daniel Craig and Angelina Jolie, it would trigger my comic fanboy emotions to throw a red flag on the play, internally toiling because somethings not right with the picture. Too bad they couldnt just do the extended FF with She Hulk, Luke Cage, and the Inhumans... :( #pessimistic_Fantastic_Four
