Ok, I get it: Several states have adopted Civil Union or Equal Marriage laws on their books, fine. I say we should stick to the laws we have on the books, but if the people want change from the grassroots, lets be fair and make those changes to reflect the will of the people. But, this is going too far: She thinks we should end the institution of marriage? Really? Whatever happened to liberals believing in individual choice? The only clear explanation is that this woman is no true liberal, but a radical. She wishes to change society to fit her own personal opinions, but isnt this what liberals have accused conservatives of doing all along? So, Im not saying that the problem is with Moderate Conservatives or Moderate Liberals. Im very sympathetic to people wishing to have equal rights and to be fully included within American society. On the other hand, pushing a top-down agenda on people with an explicit aim of changing society to fit your own definition of normal is going too far.
