Ok.....I got 12 from Mia Malafronte, so here are 12 things you dont know about me. Like and Ill give you a number too. 1. I took organ lessons when I was a kid but quit the day before my recital because it conflicted with a Little League championship game. 2. I helped Rick Springfield play his guitar when he played at Toads Place. Then I helped him load his gear into the van after the show. 3. My name Nell-Ayn comes from my grandmother (Nellie Brady) and author Ayn Rand. I hated it when I was a kid, but I love it now. 4. If I had a choice, Id rather be an Olympic athlete than a professional one. 5. I got a full scholarship to play volleyball in college. 6. Ive been lucky enough to win 7 high school volleyball state championships: 3 as a player, 3 as an assistant coach, and 1 as a head coach. 7. When I was born, the hospital nursery used me as their model baby for new moms to practice changing diapers on because I was so big and chunky. 8. I would love to be a musician, but one who sits on a stool with a guitar, telling stories behind my music. Picture VH1 Storytellers. 9. I dont like to be the center of attention because I am very shy... 10. ....except when Im on a field or court. I live for those moments and treat them like there is a national championship at stake. 11. I am VERY competitive, even when I watch my own kids play. There have been times when Ive had to stop myself from yelling TIMEOUT!, so I could go out there and show them how to play. (I can thank my father for THAT) 12. I never listen to music when I run. Instead, I talk to myself :). Ive composed my moms eulogy, my sisters wedding toast, my 2 hall of fame speeches, and an acceptance speech just in case I ever win an Academy Award. And while Im thinking about it: 13. I secretly hope that one of my girls will drop soccer and play volleyball. I think Ellie might be my only hope. :)
