Ok I have a great laugh for the day. I was never a sew person in High School hated to even walk into the room where I had to use a sewing machine. Told my mother that when I could I would never have home made clothing blankets or any thing home made. I think it was because we were not rich and all my friends had store bought clothes. I even told the home eck teacher I would not cook or sew or even have children. Well now I am eating those words as now I love to sew, and I have 3 children, cooking however I am not good at. A couple of years ago I took first place for my quilt I made at our local fair. I can hear my teachers saying well some of what we taught you sunk in. Then I married my husband and his sister took me by the hand and taught me how to do simple little things and I bloomed from there and thank God I am still blooming (as my husband says). My sister in law passed on a few years ago and every time I touch fabric or use my machine I think of her. I know my mother is smiling down on me and saying see I told you so. I will take back everything I said about sewing as now I use it to relax and not think about the trouble in the world or what am I going to do next. I take it one step at a time and with the good Lords help his hands on mine maybe just maybe I can take best of show sometime soon. Blessing to all love what you make no matter if the seams dont match or it isnt the best of colors. Just remember that only one person was perfect and he loves looking at your pride and joy even if you think it is junk, also remember that God doesnt make junk and neither should you so when your life feels like it isnt going the way you want take all the pieces and make yourself a quilt.
