Ok. I know the numbers game is a little dead, but Im just now having time to get to mine. You all can thank Valyria RadicalUniongirl Lewis for this outpouring. 1. I really despise being called Carl. That is my father. 2. I would strongly consider quitting my job/career for an opportunity to serve as a background singer to most any popular neo soul artist, particularly John Legend, Jill Scott, or Eric Benet. 3. My father called me lazy for the majority of my childhood years...despite my almost perfect GPA, working a part time job, attending community college concurrently, and serving as minister of music for my church...I mean I guess a 16 year old could do more, right? 4. Refer to 3. I was minister of music for my church from the time I was 15 until I left for college. 5. I lived in a home without running water or air conditioning for several years as a child, but dont remember being unhappy at all. Children need love, and I had an abundance of that. 6. A lot of people thought/think Im gay, and most dont think I realize it. It used to really bother me, but thankfully it made me strive to become comfortable with who I was/am and the man I want to become. Its one of the reasons Im dedicated to issues of social justice and challenge people on the definition of man. 7. Even though I dont really believe that those that have gone on to their eternal rest are bothered by whats happening here in this world, I still strive to make my Mama proud. Ok. Now back to my regularly scheduled sarcastic, comical, inspirational posts!
