Ok Ive been asked to post 10 facts about myself by my friend Marshall Scott ;) 1) I have a 23 yo daughter who just got married this past summer...and is well on her way to obtaining her PHD at Miami university in Oxford ,,,in biology ( she has been doing DNA research in wing development in beetles ...and recently got published !) I am so proud of her 2) when I was 12... I was hospitalized for several months for really bad headaches.... I was tiny and had really thick long hair. I remember being allowed to leave the hospital to go get a pixie hair cut at the salon across the street and then coming back to my hospital room. They thought it would help my headaches !!! ( it didnt !) 3) I used to not smile ( at least not fully ..because of my teeth) but now I have a pretty smile with nice pearly whites ! 4) I have several true ghost stories....that really happened to me ! 5) I love doing crafty things...making things. I am an artsy type ;) 6) I started working in health care at age 16 as an aide in a nursing home, became a licensed practical nurse at age 23. Got my RN in 1996. I have been at the same hospital accumatively over 25 years !;) 7) I havt to have my chipotle fix at least once every two-3 weeks !!( I love their salad and chips n quaq!) 8) while I love the smell of coffee...I dont like the taste. A Star bucks ice tea is one of my very favorite things !;) 9) I married at 23... Divorced at age 38. Remarried at 40... And widowed shortly thereafter at age 41. I remarried 4 years later...my husband Bruce.... I met him on yahoo personals ( he was an Internet dating virgin......I was his first online date !) So we are a yahoo personals success story ! 10) today ( nov 16th ) my second child Casey would of been 16 years old. She died of SIDS ( crib death ) at age 4 1/2 months old. Many of my coworkers do not know this about me. Casey is the main reason butterflies are so important to me. Shortly after her death I was reading a book by Elizabeth Kubler Ross called the wheel of life she eas the doctor that discovered the stages of death and dying, in that book she said This life is the cocoon ....and death is the butterfly I hope Ive not saddened the ones that have read this. Its an important part of who I am. Its been many years ago....and the hurt has healed. After my daughters death and then 4 years later becoming a widow at such a young age.....I came to the realization,.... That This life is not heaven ....and bad things happen. Enjoy each and every moment that u can with those that you love ;) It is precious !
