Ok, Ive decided to go public with some of my newer endeavors, to hold myself accountable more than anything else. Forgive my self-indulgence, but writing fiction is something Ive piddled with and had in my mind to do seriously someday since high school. My someday is here! I hope that announcing my intent and progress publicly periodically will push me to actually make it happen this year. 😳 So...installment 1: One of the first things Ill pursue publication of is a childrens book series called Its Gunna Be Ok!. I draw on my education and experience in the growth and development of children to share uplifting stories of children dealing with trauma or difficult circumstances. Ive finished drafting book one which was inspired by our house fire. The main character is modeled after my son Nathan, who was four at the time. Its entitled The Night of the Bears. More later.
